Diamond Princess first visit to Taiwan was featured in Apple Daily, Taiwan's largest newspaper and on local TV stations. Passengers received a gift package before returning to the ship.
A few years earlier - in 2005, its sister ship Sapphire Princess inaugurated the port calls at Keelung.
